Bro. Mike began his ministry as a youth evangelist in 1960. He graduated from Baylor University with majors in Greek and History. He completed his Master’s Degree in Civil War History at The University of Houston. He and his wife Donna have three children- Kelly, a teacher at Deer Park High School, Kerry an attorney, and Kara an orthodontist. He also has six grandchildren.

 Brother Arnold has been on the staff of our church since 1970. He graduated from The University of Corpus Christi with majors in Bible and English. He has three sons and three daughters who are all grown, and six grandchildren. Brother Arnold is the Director and Teacher of the Encouragers Sunday School Department.

 Niki has been on staff at our church since 1998, when she first began as the youth intern. She graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree in Christianity and Speech. She also attained her Master's degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2006.

 Russell and Tanya have led the music ministry of our church since 1991, and have served in local church ministries since early high school. Their responsibilities have stretched from church pianist/ organist, youth ministries, and gospel quartets to pastor. Currently Russell leads the traditional worship service and coordinates the audio/ video ministry while Tanya serves as organist, and directs the sanctuary and church handbell choirs. Russell has studied music and church ministry through private instruction and at the university level most of his life. Tanya is a graduate of Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma, with double majors in music and childhood education. She has served in public education as a teacher for 33 years. Russell and Tanya have four great children; Stefani, Christopher, Tiffani, and Ashley, and three wonderful grandchildren Nathan, Benjamin, and John Wesley.

 Gwen has been involved in Christian music most of her life - serving as a pianist in different area churches since the 1960's. She has been our pianist for 20 years. After retirement from the energy and banking industries, she became the church secretary. Gwen has three grown children - Melanie is in outside sales, Melissa is an accountant, and Corey is a long-time employee of Disney World in Florida. Gwen and her husband, Louis, make their home in Deer Park.
